History of the handling pallet

Created in the United States at the beginning of the Forties, the pallet, composed out of wooden elements, facilitates handling, the storage and the carriage of goods. It is moved using lifting trucks called trans-pallet. Originally out of wood, one finds now on handling packing market, pallets out of plastic or recycled matters, either in elements, or moulded. They are generally lighter than the wood slats, but especially rotproof and stackable for the moulded pallets.
